Hyper Toss Review (Moose Toys)

Hyper Toss
What It Is
Hyper Toss is fast-paced game of catch that challenges you to catch a soft ball in three different colored cups. Think of a mash up of Bop-It, Hacky Sack and Simon. It's fast, fun, challenging and a bit nerve-wracking. Turn on the Hyper Toss unit, select your game--and get playing. The games include: Hyper Toss where you make 15 catches as quickly as you can; Super Toss mode, which leads you through ten catches, then tell you to throw "super toss" the ball a certain height. In Memory Toss, you'll be given a sequence, which you must recall. Finally, freestyle mode just lets you mess around with different kinds of tosses, which -- according to the instructions -- can also unlock more sound effects.
Is It Fun?
The challenging game is addictive and the pace gets faster as you advance through the levels of play. Players will have a blast trying to master the movies, which can take a lot more concentration than you might think. It's a great solo game, but it's also fun for a party with a group of people, each trying to outdo the other. What makes it so appealing is that it's a classic play pattern, but the technology and the design of the unit make it a whole new challenge. The unit is compact, so you can take it along with you for fun on the go.
Who It’s For
Hyper Toss is designed for kids ages 6 and up. We think that kids 8 and up will have the level of dexterity to play without being frustrated, but every kid who gets their hands on this is going to want a turn. And why not? This is great for kids who like competitive games that require a bit of skill and practice to make it work. It's also perfect for summer vacations, rainy days, recess...or pretty much any time you pick it up.
What To Be Aware Of
The voice and sound effects could get a little annoying over time to some people. Many kids really enjoy the taunting and the attitude.

The sounds, however, are part of the game.

The ball is separate, so you'll want to keep track of it when you put the game away.
