OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Power Wheels Dora and Friends Volkswagen New Beetle from Fisher-Price is a hot pink Beetle convertible that kids can actually drive themselves adorned with graphics of Dora and her friends Emma, Naiya, Kate, and Alana. Powered ride on uses standard foot-pedal and steering wheel, 6-volt battery, and charger included. It goes 2.5 mph max in both forward and reverse.

Is It Fun?

Kids will be excited that this is a car they can actually drive. Dora fans will appreciate the fun graphics of Dora and her friends. Using a standard foot-pedal, it's easy to operate.

Who It’s For

The Power Wheels Dora and Friends Volkswagen New Beetle is recommended for kids ages 18 months-4 years old with a weight limit of 50 pounds. Kids on the young end of that age range may not be able to master driving the car just yet but every child is different.

We tested the car with a 4-year-old driver who is 42-inches tall. She fits well in the car, but it may be a little tight for kids much taller than that.

What To Be Aware Of

The Dora-themed graphics are stickers that need to be applied, and we had a difficult time getting them on the car without creases and bubbles.

A 6-volt battery, and charger are included, and the car should be charged for 18 hours before the first use, and then 14 hours after each use. It was designed for one user at a time, and for outdoor use. It has a weight limit of 50 pounds.

As with any vehicle, adult supervision is required.
