Power Wheels Batman Dune Racer Review (Mattel)

Power Wheels Batman Dune Racer
What It Is
Get ready to save Gotham City at a breathtaking 5 miles per hour. The Power Wheels Batman Dune Racer from Fisher Price is a battery powered ATV designed for kids ages 3 to 7 years. The great Batman-inspired styling includes bat-wing front fenders, and it will hold two riders with a total weight of 130 pounds. The ride-on is powered by a rechargeable 12-volt battery, and it boasts what Power Wheels calls Monster Traction, a feature that allows kids to drive easily on hard surfaces, wet grass and rougher ground than many powered ride-ons allow. The dune racer has a sturdy steel frame, and it even has secret storage. The racer has two speed settings 2.5 and 5 MPH, but parents can set it so that kids can only drive at the slower speed. It goes 2.5 MPH in reverse. The braking system stops the vehicle whenever the child takes a foot of the accelerator pedal. After assembly, the initial battery charge takes at least 18 hours, and subsequent recharges takes about 14 hours.
