Bunchems is a new line of toys for boys and girls that use colorful, plastic burs, kind of like the burs you find in nature. And like the natural burs, these plastic ones stick together. This allows kids to easily create a variety of different 3-D objects. Connect them, squish them, stack them, coil them, and even insert fun accessory pieces into them.
The Bunchems Mega Pack comes with more than 400 Bunchems burs in black, green, yellow, red, purple, orange, blue, and white, along with 36 accessories, such as wings, eyes, and feet. This kit comes with an idea booklet with 16 different things you can build. It even tells you which accessories and how many of each color bur you need. But, of course, kids can get creative and build whatever they want.
For more fun, there are themed add-on kits. Bunchems Pets comes with 60 Bunchems burs, 11 accessories, and a guide book for creating cats, dogs, and whatever kind of pet kids can imagine. Bunchems Bugs comes with 60 Bunchems burs, six accessories, and a guide book for creating ladybugs, snails, and more.
Playing with Bunchems is really a lot of fun, whether you're building something or just squishing the burs together to feel their cool texture. This toy promotes a lot of creative and imaginative play, and will keep kids busy for hours.
The Bunchems Mega Pack is for crafty kids ages 4 and up. Older kids will probably have more success creating the things they see in the idea booklet just because there aren't specific instructions. Kids between the ages of 4 and 6 might need help from an adult.
The Bunchems are very easy to connect and take apart. Just make sure you keep them away from hair and fibrous fabric because the Bunchems may become entangled, similar to a natural bur. Parents might want to supervise the play for younger kids.
