Maleficent Free Fall Review (Disney)

Maleficent Free Fall
What It Is

Maleficent Free Fall fans have a whole new world to explore in the game's Moors updates. Maleficent Free Fall from Disney is a classic, Match 3 Puzzle game that was originally released in 2014, and just received a huge 2.1-version update, called The Moors.

The game features a theme that is based on the movie, Maleficent, and has enchanted gemstones that you slide around the board to match three or more of the same object. Each level has objectives that have to be reached to advance. Objectives include reaching a target point level, and lighting up the board, which you do by making matches and illuminating the tiles under the gems.

The game also includes Power-Ups, including a raven, which allows you to light any tile on the board. Power-Ups cost magic, which you easily earn as you play through a level. Levels are grouped in chapters, which take you through the movie.

Is It Fun?

Like other Match 3 games, Maleficent is addictive and quickly pulls you in and compels you to want to keep beating levels. The game's graphics and visuals are crisp and vibrant, even in the level selection screens, which look like pages in a book.

Who It’s For

The game is rated ages 4 and up in the app store. A 4-year-old might enjoy this game but it's probably going to appeal to older fans of the movie and fans of Match 3 games.

What To Be Aware Of

The game is free to download with in-app purchases that range from .99 to $49.99. The game is available for iOS, Android, and Windows mobile devices.
