Jurassic World Indominus rex Breakout Review (LEGO)

Jurassic World Indominus rex Breakout
What It Is

The Jurassic World genetic engineers set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed. The LEGO Jurassic World: Indominus rex Breakout is a 1,156-piece set, item number 75919, that builds a large containment and observation unit for the Indominus Rex dinosaur from the movie, Jurassic World.

The set comes with the Indominus Rex figure, which is made of seven large LEGO pieces. It also includes four LEGO Jurassic World minifigures of Dr. Wu, Zach, Vet, and an ACU or (Asset Containment Unit) Trooper.

The containment unit is a large playset with at least one feature on each side. The tallest section includes the control room, observation deck, and helipad with a helicopter. The crane wall has a glassed-in observation room, and crane for delivering food to the Indominus. The front wall features giant, interlocking doors that open and close. The final side has a breakway wall because we all know this cage is not going to hold back Indominus. When Indominus does break out, the humans can launch off in the orb vehicle.

Is It Fun?

The multiple play spots and features allow fans of the movie to recreate key scenes or imagine new dino-disaster adventures.

Who It’s For

The set is for kids ages 7-12. We think kids on the younger side of that range will need some help building this one, and adult collectors are probably going to like it also.

What To Be Aware Of

The directions are long but good. There are clear illustrations and LEGO's numbered bag system. It took us five and a half hours to build this set.
