Tipster Robot Review (WowWee)

Tipster Robot
What It Is

Tipster from WowWee is a preschool-friendly, entry-level robot. Once batteries are installed, turn Tipster on and you are ready to go. Kids can use the remote control to control Tipster. The remote features five easy to decipher buttons: forward, spin, stop, yellow to switch between the different play modes, and green to enter a play mode. Drive Tipster around and detach the trays located on the included Robo Barrel to have Tipster carry things.

Tipster features five different play modes: Tippy Tunes, Dizzy Builder, Tipster Take Down, Tipster Tricks, and Free Play. Inside the Robo Barrel are mini robot and ladder accessories, which you can use to balance and stack on Tipster during games such as Tippy Tunes, in which you must stack as many things as possible before the time runs out, or Dizzy Builder, which has you stacking as Tipster spins around. Put Tipster into Tipster Tricks mode and it will balance on the Robo Barrel. In this mode you can even make Tipster move forward using the forward button on the controller or the backward button by pressing the spin button.

Is It Fun?

Overall we like the ease of use with this robot, which makes it easy for young kids to manipulate while the sturdy built also means you'll get a lot of use out of it. For preschoolers especially-and adults, too-the Tipster Tricks mode was a particularly impressive feature and kids will find it memorizing.

Who It’s For

Tipster from WowWee is for ages 4 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Tipster does come with trays, but it's suggest that you only use the trays to stack the included accessories-and definitely not any liquids.

Tipster works best on large flat surfaces and isn't immune to falls so keep him away from edges he could roam off.

Tipster will go into sleep mode if left idle for more than 20 minutes.

Four AA batteries are required to operate Tipster and three AAA batteries are required for its remote control. Batteries are not included.
