Angry Birds Stella Review (Rovio)

Angry Birds Stella
What It Is

Stella is the pink bird from the Angry Birds games and this is her first spinoff game. The story behind the game involves Stella and her friends on a quest to protect Golden Island from the Bad Princess and her clueless piggies. The game mechanics are classic Angry Birds style where you use a slingshot to fling birds at pigs and try to knock them off a structure.

Is It Fun?

There are six birds in this game and each one has a unique power, which is what makes the game different from previous Angry Birds and also fun. Stella's power is a tap-and-target feature that allows you to choose where she will hit a structure and where her ricochet will propel her to.

Who It’s For

Angry Birds Stella is for Angry Birds fans, ages 4 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Once you have unlocked a bird in the game, you can switch out the preselected bird in a slingshot for any unlocked birds. Doing that costs coins, which you win by playing or can purchase for real money. Coin bundles range from $1.99 to $54.99. Another way to switch a bird for free is by scanning a Telepods collectible bird character into the game. Telepods figures are sold separately. Angry Birds Stella is free to play with ads between levels, and can be downloaded from Apple's App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, BlackBerry World, and NOOK Apps.
