LEGO Fusion: Battle Towers is a 212-piece set that builds a 2-D castle tower that becomes a 3-D structure when scanned into the LEGO Fusion: Battle Towers app game.
The game begins when the first tower section is scanned and you have to defend your tower from waves of attackers. After each successful battle, you build another tower section using the LEGO pieces in the set. That tower is added to the top of your last section and a new battle begins. The attacking enemies get more difficult with each new section, but there are also upgrades and LEGO minifigure characters with new weapons to add to your growing tower. When you reach the floating crown in the sky, you advance to the next level which starts with building a new tower.
This is a great combination of real world and digital LEGO play. Kids will love seeing their LEGO structures come to life in the game, and will get a kick out of adding LEGO minifigures to the game tower for battle.
Battle Towers is for LEGO fans, ages 7-12. The app is rated 9 and up because of the cartoon and fantasy violence, which basically refers to the battle format of the game. That battle format is very similar to most LEGO video games.
The LEGO Fusion: Battle Towers app is free and available for iOS and Android devices. You can use LEGO bricks from other sets, as long as they are the same color and size as the bricks in the Fusion box.
