Kids can create spin art designs for their phone cases with the Make Your Case Phone and iPod Case Spin Art kit. It comes with a Spin Art Spinner, spinner arm, three paint bottles, four clear backings, eight decorating cards, and four cases for the Samsung Galaxy S3/S4, iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5/5S/5C, and iPod Touch 5. You will also need scissors, which are not included.
Place a decorative card in the Spin Art Spinner. Press the button to spin the card, and while spinning, squeeze drops of paint onto the card. Once you've reached your desired spin art design, leave the card to dry for one hour. Once it's dry, cut the card along the cell phone cut line, depending on what device you have. Insert the proper clear backing into a case, and then place the decorated card behind the backing. Insert your device in the case and you're done.
It might take some practice to get the hang of spinning and squeezing paint at the same time, but the beauty of spin art is that it doesn't have to be perfect. Kids can, of course, practice a little and experiment with colors on a spare piece of paper before they begin working with the decorative cards. This is a fun and artsy activity for kids who have their own mobile devices and want to create a unique case for it.
Make Your Case Phone and iPod Case Spin Art is for ages 8 and up.
The instructions don't say this, but you might want to cover your work surface before you begin and wear old clothes just in case the paint gets messy.
The four included cases are made of a thin plastic, and we don't think they're going to offer much protection to your devices. They're mainly just for decoration.
