EDITOR'S REVIEW
OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Nerf Cam ECS-12 from Hasbro is, as the name may imply, a Nerf blaster with a built-in camera. And unlike many camera toys, this comes with a 4 GB SD card to store up to 2,000 photos and three hours of video. The blaster's cartridge holds 12 Nerf N-Strike Elite darts. Load the clip, place it in the blaster, and it's ready to fire like a traditional Nerf blaster. On our tries, the darts came somewhat close to the 85 feet that Hasbro promotes.

To document your adventures, turn the camera on and toggle between video (with sound) and still shots. Ready to record? Press the record button to capture all your antics. After, you can review all pictures and videos on the camera's 1.77-inch color playback screen. To share your pictures and videos, you'll have to remove the SD card and put it in a reader on your computer, where you can upload them into virtually any photo program.

Is It Fun?

If you're a Nerf fan, and you'll get a kick out of recording your tricks, triumphs, and perhaps some practical jokes, you need this blaster.
