onBoard 35 Air+ Infant Car Seat Review (Safety 1st)

onBoard 35 Air+ Infant Car Seat
What It Is

The onBoard 35 Air+ Infant Car Seat is a rear-facing car seat for babies from four to 35 pounds. Features include side-impact protection, an adjustable and removable infant insert, Air Protect cushion system with GCell HX honey comb foam technology, a five-point harness with an easy center front adjust, and four harness heights and three buckle locations to accommodate your growing baby. Installing this infant seat into your car is easy and secure because it uses a threaded LATCH system. An angle indicator helps you make sure your child is seated at the right angle. It does have a soft and ergonomic carry handle, but the car seat is still cumbersome to carry. The entire pad can be removed for hand-washing only. The onBoard 35 Air+ is available in several color schemes: Plumberry (teal, green, and white), St. Germain (black and grey), and Twist of Citrus (white, yellow, and blue).

Why Is It Useful?

Overall, this is a good infant car seat for the value. There were a few things we didn't like, such as the difficult-to-adjust canopy and uncomfortable carry handle, but those issues aren't that big of a deal when the safety and Air Protect cushion system of this car seat are so strong.

Who It’s For

The onBoard 35 Air+ Infant Car Seat is for babies from four to 35 pounds rear-facing only and up to 32 inches in height.

What To Be Aware Of

The canopy was a little flimsy, and it doesn't extend or retract easily. Additionally, when changing the angle of the seat in the base, you have to remove both parts out of the car.
