Star Wars Scene Maker is an iPad app that lets Star Wars fans create their own Star Wars movie scenes. The free app comes with one scene, Battle of Endor, and two additional scenes that can be unlocked through in-app purchases. Select your scene, add characters and vehicles to the scene, and then customize the weapons, movement, sounds, and phrases of each character and vehicle. The app includes pre-recorded phrases, but you can also record your own and even use the voice filter feature to sound like Darth Vader. You can also create your own title crawl, choose music, and add end credits to complete your scene. Finished scenes can also be shared to YouTube from the app, but you must be at least 13 years old and have a YouTube account.
This app is ideal for Star Wars fans both young and old. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but you can access the app's tutorial at any time if you need help. Once you get the hang of the different controls, you'll find it easy to move your characters, make them speak, and even change between the three different camera angles while recording your scene. It's also pretty cool to make yourself talk like Darth Vader.
Star Wars Scene Maker is for Star Wars fans ages 9 and up. The information button on the homepage takes you to the in-app purchases and has links for additional Star Wars apps. This section is only accessible by entering your age, a security measure meant to keep kids under 13 from gaining access.
This app is compatible with iPad running iOS 7.0 or later.
If you want to disable in-app purchases, you must adjust your device's settings.
