Beautiful Yetta's Hanukkah Kitten Review (Feiwel and Friends)

Beautiful Yetta's Hanukkah Kitten
What It Is

In the picture book Beautiful Yetta's Hanukkah Kitten, Yetta the chicken has found a home among parrots in Brooklyn. One winter day, Yetta hears a cat meowing in the snow and takes it in to keep it warm. The parrots are fearful of the cat because they think cats are dangerous. Fortunately, it's Hanukkah, and the parrots know a lovely grandmother who will take in the kitten and serve everybody potato latkes. The book, written by Daniel Pinkwater and illustrated by Jill Pinkwater, is told in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and Yiddish.

Is It Fun?

Fans of the original Beautiful Yetta book will like this sweet holiday-themed tale with bright and colorful illustrations. It's also a nice introduction to different languages, with pronunciation guides to help kids sound out the words.
