Air Power Review (Klutz)

Air Power
What It Is

Air Power is an activity book that comes with all the supplies needed for building a real-working hovercraft, hot rod, helicopter, and rocket. The four vehicles are easy to assemble and are powered by balloons. The 48-page book includes instructions, game ideas, inspiration for making more vehicles, and a little bit of the science behind what kids are making. The kit includes a hot rod body and engine block, eight wheels, foam wheel nuts, four axles, a hovercraft cockpit and body, a thrust vent, a sticker sheet, rocket fins, a tube, helicopter blade assembly, a jumbo straw, a plastic cap, two plastic mouthpieces, three big balloons, and two small balloons.

Is It Fun?

The four vehicles are easy to build, and best of all, they really work. Kids will love watching vehicles they created in action. We like that the book doesn't just tell kids how to build the vehicles, but it also encourages kids to explore further and provides information on the toy vehicles' real-world counterparts.

Who It’s For

Air Power is for ages 8 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The book offers suggestions on how to make more than just the four included vehicles, and you will need extra supplies from home for these extra vehicles.
