What It Is

The Crashlings 4-packs from Wicked Cool Toys are part of the new Crashlings line of small collectible figures that, as the story goes, bounce around outer space until they crash into something. The figures come encased in small meteors, some of which have tops that can also be used as classic pop-and-catch toys. Turn them partially inside out, place them on a table, and they'll pop up to about four feet high.

Series one has more than 150 different characters to collect-divided into: Dinos, Insects, Aliens, Monsters, and Sea Life. There are common, rare, ultra rare, and special edition figures throughout the line. A poster is included with the four-pack, which offers collectors a list of all the characters in Series One. You can also visit Crashlings.com to see how they're categorized. Register for the site and create your own catalog of the ones you own and/or want.

Is It Fun?

We really like the humor and the design of these, as well as the additional play of the popping meteors. The fun is all in the collecting and making up games with the poppers and characters.

Who It’s For

The Crashlings are for ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

In the four-pack, only two of the meteors are the popping kind. The other two are hard plastic.

No instructions are provided about how the pop-and-catch play works. When you first open up the popping meteors, you need to break them in by manipulating them so they will stay in position before they pop. It's recommended that you put them down on a table or other surface before popping them. If you pop them in the palm of your hand, they may sting a little bit.

A variety of Crashlings playsets and individual figures are sold separately.
