Singtrix is a brand new home karaoke system from the creators of Guitar Hero that the uses the same recording studio quality effects to correct any out-of-tune vocals to make you sound like a pro. The Singtrix Karaoke Machine Party Bundle Package includes the Singtrix Studio System, two microphones with stand and cables, and a 2.1 stereo speaker with subwoofer. There is also a stand to hold your tablet or smartphone to view lyrics on your screen.
Turn on the device by flipping on the on/off switch on the Singtrix Studio, which is attached to your microphone. The system features 25 reverb effects, which you can switch up with the turn of the big effects dial, and 350 professional presets, which combine different vocal effects to create a different experience. These are broken down into three categories: Universal FX presets, which deliver the best sound effects for most beginner vocalists; extreme presets; and song presets, which are named after and work best with popular karaoke songs. Each preset features an enhanced, semi-pro, and pro setting. If you aren’t a great singer, select the enhanced setting to give your vocals the most effects and pitch corrections. Tap the Hit button, located on the Singtrix studio and also on each microphone, to further transform your vocals into a four-part harmony.
While Singtrix offers it’s own subscription-based app library of karaoke music, it also works with your own music as well as YouTube. If you do use your own music, tap the Song-Voice button on the Studio console. This button will lower the actual vocal within the song so that you can best sing over the song.
Additional features on Singtrix include the mic volume control and the main volume control, which controls the sound coming from the sound system. These come preset so you shouldn't need to fiddle with these settings.
While we couldn't showcase every possible effect and the full capabilities of this system in our video review, we spent a lot of time testing out each of the settings and effects. The TTPM team is by no means made up of great singers and this system did a great job, in our opinion, of masking that. The price may be steep, but it's certainly worth it if you are a die-hard karaoke fan or tend to have a lot of parties and/or gatherings. With so many options and an easy-to-navigate interface, this is a system that can provide hours of entertainment.
No suggested age is provided for the Singtrix system, however it's important to note this is not a toy. For that reason we suggest it for karaoke fans ages 12 and up.
You can save up to 10 of your favorite presets by pressing and holding the mic volume button.
The enhanced, auto-tuning effects only work on the main microphone for the system.
You can take the Singtrix Studio off the stand and hook it up to a set of headphones to practice your vocals more privately.
Singtrix is compatible with any device and any music. Plug the system into your smartphone, tablet, mp3 player, or computer. Sing along to songs from your personal music library, use karaoke tracks and apps, home studio compositions, or streaming music videos from sites such as YouTube.
The Singtrix app is also available for free download on Android and iOS devices. It does give you access to a few free songs, however most require $12 monthly subscription or the use of in-app credits to stream or download songs.
The set up was simple and although there were no instructions on which plug goes where, the color-coded cables make that pretty easy to figure out.
