OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

With the Lazer Defense Network from Spin Masters' Spy Gear toy line, kids can create their own defense network at night or during the day. Using its lazer receiver unit and two lazer transmitter units, set the receiver to day or night setting to keep your defense undetected. Then turn on the two transmitters. Aim the transmitters' beams at the receiver unit until they align. The alarm will beep to confirm it is armed. Like a trip wire, once the network is set up and someone interrupts one of the two beams a five second alarm will sound. Press the on/off button on the receiver to cancel the alarm and press it again to re-arm.

Is It Fun?

Whether it's preventing a pesky sibling from entering your room, or making sure that certain someone doesn't paw the last cookie from your cubicle at work, sometimes we could all use some extra defense and that's exactly what the Lazer Defense Network was made for. We think this is a fun toy that kids at any age over 6 will have a lot of fun using to guard their territory.

Who It’s For

The Spy Gear Lazer Defense Network is for ages 6 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

You can rotate and tilt the beam arms of the units, although the transmitters can only be moved up and down.

You'll want to keep the receiver and transmitter units relatively close to each other. We found they work best when within a six foot range of the receiver. It can be a bit frustrating to align the beam to the receiver at longer distances.

Six AAA batteries are required but not included.
