What It Is
Grand Theft Auto V is the 5th game in the popular Grand Theft Auto series.
Is It Fun?
This is a huge game with top notch graphics and a well-developed story line. Story Mode is the main mission and will take players through the game, introducing the three playable characters and how their lives intersect. Once all three characters are unlocked, players can switch between them at will using a unique zoom out and in feature.
The graphics in GTAV are excellent and the details are so brilliant that your car makes different sounds depending on what type of surface you are driving on.
Who It’s For
Grand Theft Auto V is rated M17+ , which means it's for adults over the age of 17.
What To Be Aware Of
The game gets a lot of flak for being violent and while it is about killing your enemies, it's no worse than other M-rated and some T-rated games available today. What we did find a little shocking in the game was the language. It's a constant stream of curse words and offensive dialogue.
There is also a lot of drug and alcohol use plus a bit of sex in the game, including a sort of funny mini-game that takes place in a strip club.
This game is so large that it comes with two discs, the first being an install disc and the second the playable game disc. You will need a large amount of space to do either, starting with the install, which requires almost 8,000 MBs of space and about 15 minutes to complete. We had to hook an external hard-drive up to the Xbox 360 to install the game on.
This is a huge game that will take players days just to play through the main Story Mode. There are countless side missions and in-game activities plus hidden items and surprises that add to the game-play and make this a title that people will return to repeatedly for a long time.
