- Perplexus Epic from Spin Master
- We recommend this product for ages 8 and up
What It Is
Perplexus Epic may look familiar, but this year, there is a new company, Spin Master, manufacturing the toy. Though this toy has a few small changes, it's still similar to the original. The Epic is the hardest Perplexus puzzle out of all four available. Rookie, Original, and Twist are the others. Players try to run a small BB-like ball through a complex maze of twists and turns on a track inside the clear plastic outer sphere. Players must roll the ball to a starting point and then flip, twist, and spin Perplexus to move the ball around the numbered path and the 125 different obstacles to the end. If the ball falls off the track, you have to start over.
Is It Fun?
It's going to take awhile to complete this maze. If you haven't played Perplexus before, we recommend starting with the Rookie or Original versions to get some practice. If you are a Perplexus fan, the Epic will be a really good challenge for you.
Who It’s For
Perplexus Epic is for ages 8 and up, but we think 8-year-olds are going to find this a little too difficult. This is for a slightly older child who has experience working with the Perplexus mazes.
What To Be Aware Of
The easiest Perplexus, Rookie, is for ages 4 and up. Original and Twist are for ages 8 and up. Each is sold separately.
