What It Is
The Throw N' Battle Raphael adds a little bit of action to the action figure concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle line. Raphael starts out as an upright action figure, but kids can fold him up into what Playmates Toys is calling "stealth mode". Drop the figure onto any flat surface, trying to activate the button on Raph's belt to make the figure spring open into action.
Is It Fun?
This is a cute concept and the action is fun. It does have to be set correctly for it to work, which means that younger kids may need a little help the first few times they try to do it. Still, this can be a springboard (pun intended) for all kinds of active action figure play.
Who It’s For
Throw N' Battle Raphael is for ages 4 and up.
