The Titanic Life Saving Logic Game is not based on the movie but rather the actual disaster, and it's up to you to save as many passengers as possible. This puzzle game has 48 challenge cards in four different levels: starter, junior, expert, and master. Choose your challenge card and place it in the storage compartment. Close the lid and place the lifeboats and passengers in the water as indicated by the challenge card that is now visible through the "waves" of the lid. Then move the lifeboats forward, backward, or side-to-side to rescue all the passengers from the water. If a passenger is close enough to a lifeboat to climb on board, that boat must pick them up even if it makes sense to collect another passenger first. When each passenger is seated safely in a lifeboat, you've solved the challenge.
This is the type of game that will get players thinking creatively and utilizing problem-solving skills as they work their way through each challenge. Kids and adults who like these types of puzzle games will enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to move the lifeboats to rescue all the passengers. It's not an easy task, and will require some patience and brainpower to solve each of the challenges.
The Titanic Life Saving Logic Game is for ages 8 and up.
The instruction booklet also includes solutions to each challenge if you get stuck.
Despite the value of the logic puzzle, given the nature of the tragedy surrounding the Titanic, some parents may not think this is an appropriate theme for a game.
