What It Is
Memory Challenge: Marvel Comics Edition is a memory game with a superhero twist. It's played like basic memory where you set up the cards facedown, and then turn them over to find matches. In this edition, the cards feature some of the greatest Marvel comic book covers ever published, featuring Marvel characters Spider-Man, The Silver Surfer, Captain America, Wolverine, and more. The earliest cover image dates back to 1941. In addition to 100 comic book cards, there are 10 Power Cards, which add to the gameplay. These cards have different actions on them that could change the fate of the game. For example, the Hammer of Thor allows you to reveal four extra cards during your turn, and the dreaded Pumpkin Bomb ends your turn immediately. As in basic memory, the player with the most matches at the end of the game wins. The game is for one or more players.
Is It Fun?
Comic book fans will love the iconic artwork on these cards, and players will love how the Power Cards add a little more excitement to the traditional memory gameplay. This is a fun game for Marvel collectors, and it's also a fun way to improve concentration and memory skills in young Marvel fans.
