What It Is
If you've ever wondered how products get to market, chances are someone came up with an idea and pitched it. So now here's your chance to pitch a product idea. Pitch It! comes with 50 product cards, 50 customer cards, a three-minute timer, fake money, six pencils, and 100 Pitch It play sheets. The game is for three or more players.
Players draw cards to find out what the product is and who the customer will be by picking a What? card and a Who? card. That's the first step in the game. You may be tasked with selling ice to eskimos, potting soil to police officers, or bath toys to bankers. The next step is to come up with a product name, a slogan, and design the logo or draw a picture of your product using the Pitch It! play sheets. (You may need extra paper to do this, so keep some on hand just in case.) The timer only gives you three minutes to do this, but it's a lot to do in three minutes, so you may want to give yourselves more time. If that's the case, you can give everyone a time limit, such as 10-15 minutes, or just agree to wait for everyone to be finished.
Then it's time to Pitch It! Using your best sales tactics, you pitch your product to the rest of the players. When all the players have pitched their products, it's time to vote on which one is the best. You can't vote for your own product, though. The winners are awarded the play money. The first player to win $5 million wins.
