What It Is
Zing Toys has taken its popular Z-Curve Bow and given it a sparkly pink and purple makeover. With archery becoming more popular among girls thanks to female movie characters such as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games and Brave's Merida, the Air Huntress Z-Curve Bow lets girls pretend to be like those movie characters with a bow designed just for them.
Like the original Z-Curve Bow, the Air Huntress version comes with three foam arrows: one Zartz arrow that sticks anywhere and two Zonic arrows that whistle as they soar through the air. Launching the arrows is easy and safe. Current safety regulations prevent manufacturers from making traditional bows with a long string. Zing Toys solved that problem by adding elastic loops to the bow and placing hooks on the foam arrows. Hook an arrow onto the elastic loops, pull back, and let go. With a little bit of effort, the arrows can fly more than 125 feet. Kids can set up cans for target practice or shoot against a wall for bounce-back action.
Is It Fun?
The Air Huntress Z-Curve Bow gives kids all the competitive fun of shooting a bow and arrow but in a safe way. The color scheme of this bow-and-arrow set is targeted toward girls, and girls who want to be like Katniss and Merida will really like having a bow and arrow of their own. The arrows do go far, but to get them to travel 125 feet, you have to pull the arrow back really far and exert some effort.
Who It’s For
The Air Huntress Z-Curve Bow is for ages 8 and up. While the pink is a traditional girls' color, the bow works great, and any kid will have a blast with it.
What To Be Aware Of
Additional arrows are sold separately.
We recommend that adults supervise children when playing with the Air Huntress Z-Curve Bow. Set guidelines on what is an appropriate target—no aiming above the shoulders or below the waist, or at animals.
