What It Is
The new Rocktivity line from Hasbro's Playskool brand encourages babies to move, learn, and play with music that mom and dad will enjoy listening to, too. The toys in the line feature well-known rock and pop songs and multiple ways to play.
The Rocktivity Sit to Stand Music Skool is a musical activity table with more than 50 musical activities and digitally recreated songs such as The Jackson 5's "ABC," "I Like to Move It" by The Hit Co., "On the Floor" by Jennifer Lopez, and The Beatles' "Twist and Shout." There are three ways for kids to play. In music mode, kids can create songs with the three piano keys, three guitar buttons, drum button, and microphone rattle. Remove the microphone rattle to start a song. In learning mode, the Sit to Stand Music Skool introduces kids to shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and opposites when kids press the different buttons. In Spanish mode, kids have all the fun of learning mode but in Spanish. The table legs detach for sitting play.
Is It Fun?
There are many ways for kids to play with the Rocktivity Sit to Stand Music Skool, from making their own music to hearing about shapes, colors, and more. The lights, sounds, and music keep kids engaged as they play. The pop songs might be more appealing to parents than typical "baby" music.
Who It’s For
The Sit to Stand Music Skool is for ages 6–36 months.
What To Be Aware Of
Play will start out more random with the youngest kids, but they will quickly learn the cause-and-effect of activating different features, which will likely keep kids engaged with this toy as they develop basic physical and cognitive skills. Three AA batteries are included for the in-store try-me features. It's recommended that you replace those batteries before you play for best results.
