What It Is
New to Hasbro's Koosh line is the Koosh Galaxy Solar Recon. Snap on and load up the side launcher and hit the on switch. Listen as the launcher makes cool powering-up sound effects. Watch as LED lights brighten and charge the glow-in-the-dark Koosh balls. Then pull back the simple slide lever and fire. The launcher comes with four glow-in-the-dark Koosh balls.
Is It Fun?
The Koosh Solar Recon shoots soft foam balls, which are not as hard or travel as far as other ball blasters, such as those from the Nerf line. The Solar Recon launches balls between 20–25 feet. Because it is designed for younger kids to use, it makes a great introductory blaster for kids who may be afraid of getting hurt. The glow-in-the-dark feature also offers a new twist on blaster fun.
Who It’s For
Koosh Galaxy Solar Recon is for ages 4 and up.
This is particularly appropriate for younger kids who might be attracted to foam blasters but may not yet have the fine motor coordination to use them well. Of course, any kid who loves blasting and glow-in-the-dark will like this, too.
What To Be Aware Of
After 20–30 seconds without action, the blaster will power down to save battery life. Move the lever to power the launcher back up.
