What It Is
The Alphabet Activity Cube has five sides of activity for kids. On the top there is a bead bar with three beads to move back and forth. There are also 13 double-sided alphabet letter blocks that kids can stack. Stacking the letter blocks activates the motion sensor, and kids will hear sounds and music.
The main side has volume control (low and high) and a switch so you can choose between Learning Mode or Play Mode. On this side, when kids press the five colorful piano keys, they will hear sounds, phrases, and tunes in Learning Mode. In Play Mode, the piano keys will light up and make piano note sounds. When kids press the nine number/animal buttons, they will hear sound effects and phrases in Learning Mode. In Play Mode, kids can press the buttons to pretend to call the animals on the buttons. There is also a "cell phone" that kids can pick up to hear a phone sound and directions: "Press '8' to call the frog." Kids can also take the letter blocks from the top and place them into the hole on this side to hear the letter names, songs, sounds, and phrases.
The next side has four big holes that form a mouth. Kids can drop the letter blocks into the holes for put-and-take play. This side also serves as the storage area.
On the fourth side, there is a sliding bird, flower, and window. Kids can flip the butterfly's wing, turn the three gears, and look at themselves in the mirror.
Babies can play with the letter blocks on the last side, too. Drop the blocks through the peg maze to enhance hand-eye coordination.
Is It Fun?
This is a fun and interactive toy with lots to keep kids engaged as they play. And each side of the Alphabet Activity Cube, in its own way, helps reinforce developmental skills, such as number, letter, and color recognition as well as fine motor skills.
