What It Is
This very artistic picture book tells the story of a family camping trip which turns out to be a grammar lesson about spacial adverbs for the audience. With the car packed, the book’s subjects take off on their trip up the mountain, over a bridge, under towering trees, and so on.
Is It Fun?
The story is not terribly compelling, but it is a nice tool to use when teaching kids about spatial relationships. A wide variety of common prepositional adverbs, such as behind, between, and around are used, which makes it great for in the classroom.
Who It’s For
Because of the light storyline, this book is best suited for kids aged 3 to 5 years.
What To Be Aware Of
The illustrations are very dark, which I found hard to enjoy.
