What It Is

What It Is

The iconic Nerf brand from Hasbro gets a new blaster experience with the Vortex line. Vortex offers Nerf fans the latest in blaster technology and performance, along with a greater blaster variety. The Nerf Vortex line shoots plastic discs and uses something Hasbro calls XLR Technology, or extra long-range disc technology, that hurls discs super long distances.

One of the first blasters in the Vortex line is the Nitron. This is a fully automatic clip-fed disc blaster. It features a removable clip that can hold up to 20 discs, an electronic targeting scope accessory, and a front handle to steady shots. The Nitron is also compatible with the Nerf Tactical Rail System and most Nerf N-Strike Mission Kit accessories, each sold separately. It comes with 20 discs, and more discs can be purchased separately.

Why It’s Fun

Hasbro has taken a classic boys' play pattern and given it a new twist. Instead of foam darts, the Vortex blasters shoot plastic discs. Boys will like the long-distance and continuous shooting and how easy it is to load and use the Nitron blaster.

Who It’s For

The Nitron blaster is for ages 8 and up.

What to Be Aware of

Only use the discs designed for the Vortex blasters. Don't aim the discs at people's faces or eyes.

The Nitron blaster requires six C batteries, which are not included. The electronic targeting scope accessory requires two AAA batteries, which are not included.
