What It Is

What It Is

High-octane adventure continues with the release of Disney/Pixar's Cars 2 on June 24, 2011. Lightning McQueen and Mater head to the World Grand Prix where they get caught up in international espionage. The World Grand Prix comes to life in Fisher-Price's Cars 2 World Grand Prix R/C playset.

The World Grand Prix R/C playset includes such locations from the movie as the Minion Garage with Easy-Rail Station, Tokyo Pit Stop, Porto Corsa Racing Venue with collapsing bridge, eight pieces of Snap-Lock track with an Acer (one of the Cars characters) push vehicle, and a Finn McMissile Turbo R/C vehicle. The easy-to-use Turbo R/C remote lets kids "drive" Finn McMissile forward and backward along the track. (Finn McMissile even works off the track on hard surfaces.) Finn McMissile also says phrases from the movie.

The World Grand Prix R/C set works with other Cars 2 GeoTrax toys to recreate the excitement of the movie and help kids embark on new adventures. Other Cars 2 GeoTrax playsets, track packs, and R/C cars are sold separately.

Why It’s Fun

The Cars 2 GeoTrax line lets kids build their own Cars 2 world. The World Grand Prix R/C set offers lots of fun racing action just like in the new movie. Kids will like reenacting scenes from the movie or creating new adventures for the Cars characters.

Who It’s For

The World Grand Prix R/C set is for ages 2—7. It's great for kids who like Cars the movie or for kids who like to play with cars.

What to Be Aware of

Assembly is required, but no tools are needed. It takes about 15-20 minutes to put together.

We really like the design of this, which is easy for preschoolers to operate while giving a really satisfying train experience.

The versatility and the long-term play value of this toy makes it worth the price for parents of Cars fans, particularly since it integrates with other GeoTrax sets.

This set requires six AAA batteries (three for the R/C controller and three for the vehicle), which are not included.
