Cynthia Fuchs watches lots of movies and TV. As the director of Film & Media Studies, as well as Associate Professor of English at George Mason University, she's dealing with pop culture images every day. An enthusiastic media reviewer for various publications since 1984, Cynthia is currently the film and television editor for PopMatters.com. She has also written academic articles on Michael Jackson, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Shakira, Jay-Z, Brad Pitt, and the Spice Girls. She edited Spike Lee: Interviews (University of Mississippi Press 2002) and she's currently co-editing "Iraq War Cultures" for Peter Lang Publishing Group and writing a book on Iraq war documentaries.
