Weekend Box Office: Better Late Than Never

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day weekend. I extended my visit with family for an extra day so I’m a little late with the weekend box report but chances are you can guess what took the number one spot.

Yep, as we all expected Delhi Belly, the Bollywood movie shot in English, dominated the box office. Just kidding. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, easily conquered the holiday weekend box office taking in an estimated $116 million for the four-day weekend. The movie officially opened last Wednesday and with the Tuesday night previews, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon made an estimated $181.1 million, ranking as the ninth highest-grossing six-day launch ever. Wow!

Time To Play’s family film critic, Cynthia Fuchs, has a full review of the movie, which you can read by clicking here.
