Disney’s Sing It games are video games that allow players to sing along to various Disney songs with a microphone while they follow the on-screen lyrics and music videos. The game element is derived from the players having to hit the right notes at the right time. Think of these games as Rock Band with family-friendly, Disney tunes and no instruments.
The latest Sing It game, Disney Sing It: Family Hits, is a collection of songs from some of Disney’s most popular films including (but not limited to) Toy Story, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid and The Princess And The Frog from Disney Princesses. In addition to the Karaoke-style game-play, Sing It’s Encore mode allows players to play back their performances and add fun voice effects. Disney fans can also learn vocal tips and exercises from The Princess and the Frog’s Anika Noni Rose. One of my favorite features is the family fun mode, which allows up to 8 players to sing along together. One complaint I have heard about the game is that the song choices could be better but the list looks pretty good to me. I’ll post the track list below so you can see for yourself.
Disney Sing It: Family Hits, rated Everyone, is in stores now for Wii and PS3. The game is sold alone for $39.99 or bundled with a microphone for $49.99.
