Box Office: The Butler Whisks The Competition Under the Rug

Lee Daniels’ The Butler easily took the top spot in its opening weekend with $25 million. The weekend’s other two new releases, Kick-Ass 2 and Jobs didn’t even earn $25 million combined. The comedy, We’re the Millers, had another good weekend and held onto the #2 spot, while last week’s #1, Elysium, slid to third.
