What It Is
Sesame Street: Solve It with Elmo, Abby, and Super Grover 2.0 is a learning game compatible with the LeapPad Ultra and other LeapPad tablets. In this game, Sesame Street fans unleash their powers of observation and investigation to help their favorite characters. The game was designed to teach early STEM skills in an interactive environment, and we think it does that very well. Kids are asked to help Grover with three missions. In one mission, they rescue Elmo's toys from a tree while learning about levers and weights, and then practice counting while catching the toys. In another mission, they experiment with weight and balance in a boat to help Abby's pigs stay afloat, and then steer the boat to the pumpkin patch. For the third mission, kids help Elmo engineer and find the right wheels for a go-kart so he can give a flock of chickens a ride. When they complete the missions, children earn stickers or pieces to build the mysterious Mega Machine. They can also engage in other activities at the Headquarters 2.0, including exploring magnets and simple machines, such as screws, levers, wedges, and pulleys. There are also Super Grover 2.0 videos from the show that introduce different science concepts.

Overall, Sesame Street: Solve It with Elmo, Abby, and Super Grover 2.0 helps kids develop an understanding of how things work and builds critical thinking skills by allowing them to help their Sesame Street friends. It stays true to the humor and storylines kids are used to seeing on the show.
Preschoolers may get frustrated by how long it takes to get to the actual missions at times, but once they do start playing them, they're sure to learn a lot while having fun at the same time.
