What It Is

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Activision is a side-scrolling action game based on the animated series on Nickelodeon. Kids will play through the game as all four turtles in a story line that has Shredder trying to unleash a mutagen bomb, and transform the citizens of New York City into mutants. It's up to Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo to stop him and kids will play through 15 levels with the turtles as the playable characters.

Is It Fun?

This game extends the fun of the animated series and gives kids the ability to interact with their favorite characters from the show. Kids can switch between each of the four characters throughout each level and have the ability to upgrade the turtles' attacks.

Who It’s For

The game is rated E10+ because of the Comic Mischief and Fantasy Violence. The content is very similar to that of the animated series on Nickelodeon so if you are ok with the kids watching the series, you will have no problems with the content of the game.

The game play is fairly easy and kids as young as 6 or 7 will probably be able to play through without any problems.

What To Be Aware Of

We played the Nintendo 3DS version of the game for this review, however it's also available for the Wii and Xbox 360.
