What It Is

DuckTales: Remastered from Capcom is a remake of the game, DuckTales, which was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1989. Like the original, players take on the role of Scrooge McDuck and set out on a side-scrolling, platform adventure to find five legendary treasures. The game's controls are just as simple as they were 25 years ago. Scrooge's only weapon and tool is his walking cane that he uses to swat enemies and objects, and to pogo jump tall heights.

Is It Fun?

This is a fun, nostalgic trip for fans of the original game. It's a High-Def version of a classic, late 1980s game and it looks great!

Who It’s For

The game is going to appeal mostly to fans of the original DuckTales games. Kids from the 1980s, who now have kids of their own, will enjoy introducing it to a whole new generation.

Its rated E for everyone and thanks to the three difficulty settings-Easy, Medium, Hard-parents and kids can play and enjoy it together.

What To Be Aware Of

Fans of the original game will love that most of the original voice actors were brought back for this updated version.

DuckTales: Remastered is available for Wii U, which is the version that we played for this review. It is also available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
