What It Is

Kids can go on all types of space adventures with the Imaginext Space Alpha Explorer playset. This playset includes an astronaut figure and a space shuttle. Place the shuttle on the playset's base to hear different sound effects and phrases. Slide the button up to make the shuttle's wings pop out. You're almost ready for take-off, but first, place the astronaut figure on the bottom disk and turn it to release the launching gear. Then place the figure in the platform, open the cockpit, and raise the platform to seat the figure inside the shuttle. Close the cockpit and when you lift the shuttle off the playset, you'll hear space sound effects and phrases. Press the button on the shuttle to hear more sounds. Back on the playset base, use the figure to turn the top disk to activate the jail for your space criminals. And if an alien attack is underway, lock and load one of the three plastic projectiles, aim, and fire. You can also fire the projectiles from the shuttle.

Is It Fun?

Kids will love how the space shuttle interacts with the playset base and brings the space adventure to life both on and off the playset. Alpha Explorer is a lot of fun with lots to engage kids in open-ended and imaginative play.

Who It’s For

The Imaginext Space Alpha Explorer is for ages 3–8.

What To Be Aware Of

Two AA batteries are included for the in-store try-me features. It's recommended that you replace them before you play for best results.

Putting the figure in the cockpit may be a little difficult for the youngest kids, so adult participation may be helpful.
