What It Is
The 3D Interactive Solar System Wall Chart measures 42 inches by 32 inches, and it has grommets for hanging on the wall. On it's own, it makes great room décor for kids interested in space and the solar system, with lots of fun facts printed on it and cool art. But it really comes alive when you add the free app that works on iPad, iPhone, and Android. Point the camera at the planets indicated by a ring around them, and you'll see really stunning 3-D images of the planets, plus lots of really interesting information about the planets. There are two modes. Explore mode lets you find out information, and Seek and Find mode tests your knowledge. You can also share pictures of the planets on social media.
Is It Fun?
We were impressed by how easy this was to do, the great look, and the way the content is presented for kids. We were also impressed by how well the camera worked with it and that it reads the images very easily, which means younger kids won't get frustrated—all they have to do is point the device at the chart. You can lay this on the floor and play as well if you don't want to hang it up. It works with iPhone 4 or higher and iPad 2 or higher. We tried it on iPad Air and iPhone 5. It does not work with iPod Touch. It does work on Android.
Who It’s For
The 3D Interactive Solar System Wall Chart is for ages 5 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
One thing to note, when you search in the app store, just put in "popar," and select from the list. The search didn't find it under "popar solar system," which would be what you might think.
