What It Is

My First Kenmore Microwave from Jakks Pacific is a simple roleplay toy to add to your little cook's kitchen. This toy pink and gray microwave features four button timers, which speed up for pretend microwaving. Each button features a different food icon too, so kids can pretend to microwave different types of play food, just like a real microwave. Place the included pretend pie in the oven, select a time, then press start. The microwave tray will spin. Lights and microwave sounds will also turn on. The oven will also beep like a real microwave when the timer has run out.

Is It Fun?

The Kenmore microwave has cute features that we think will appeal to kids who like food play. And because Kenmore is a kitchen brand that most parents are familiar with, kids will feel more like their own moms and dads in the kitchen.

While we think there are other forms of kitchen play that ultimately encourage more creative food play than a microwave, as parents know sometimes at the end of a busy work day you simply have to turn to the microwave to nuke a meal and kids just want to do what they see mom and dad do.

Who It’s For

The My First Kenmore microwave is for ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The microwave's door can pop off the hinges if it's opened too wide, however it easily pops back on.
