What It Is
The Pumpkin Masters Carving Party Kit from Signature Brands offers multiple tools and patterns to get carving, including a pattern booklet with 16 patterns across varying levels of difficulty. This carving kit also comes with four saws (including two kid-friendly ones), two scraper scoops, one drill, and one crayon and one poker for transfers. Once you've cleaned out your pumpkin and you're ready to carve, flip through the patterns booklet. The kid-friendly ones are at the front and are prepunched for easier design transfers.
Cut out your design, trim the pattern and attach it to your pumpkin with tape. Use the poker to poke holes along the outline then use the crayon to transfer the pattern through the perforated pattern. Then it's carving time. Directions on how to use each tool are included throughout the pattern booklet.
Is It Fun?
Tis the season for pumpkin carving, and whether it's a family affair or for a party, the Pumpkin Masters Carving Party Kit from Signature Brands offers multiple tools and patterns to spark your imagination and get carving. We like that this kit includes enough tools for four people to carve at once, because half the fun of carving is doing it in a group setting. We also like that the kid-friendly tools feature a chunkier design and a duller knife for carving, so they are both kid-safe and easier to carve with.
Who It’s For
Pumpkin Masters Party Carving Kit from Signature Brands is for ages 6 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Kid-friendly patterns are located at the front of the pattern booklet and are prepunched for easier transfers.
The more difficult designs require extra prep work, but directions on the back of the pattern booklet are easy to follow. The crayon transfer isn't as necessary a step for the more advanced designed because, unlike the kid's patterns, the perforations are a lot smaller to color through and the perforations into the pumpkin are easy to see.
Directions on how to use each carving tool are included throughout the pattern booklet.
The patterns are best made for larger pumpkins. It will make it easier to stabilize the pumpkin as you carve as well as carve smaller portions of the design.
While the kid-safe carving tools are definitely better than using kitchen knives, parent supervision is still suggested.
