What It Is
In the game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Calling All Turtles, players get to pretend to be a Turtle while trying to collect the most cards to win. To play, everyone places the three location pads in different rooms around the house. On each location pad, place three villain tiles face-down. All players then go to a central playing location where a dealer will shuffle the card deck and deal out an equal number of cards to each player. Then, each player puts on a pair of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Eye Mask Glasses to become either Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, or Donatello.
The game play is similar to the card game War. Players simultaneously flip over the top card of their deck. The player playing the card with the highest number "wins the trick" and gets to take all the cards just played to add to his own scoring pile. If your mask isn't already on, you get to put it on.
If you play a card with your turtle character on it, you double the number on the card. If a card showing a turtle thinking about pizza is played by any player, the first person to shout out "Pizza!" wins the cards. (The special glasses reveal what the turtles are thinking. If you're not wearing the glasses, you can't see what the turtles are thinking.) If you shout "Pizza!" incorrectly, the next card you flip over has a value of zero.
If you win a trick with a villain card in it, you must catch the villain by retrieving the matching villain tile from the location pad, but you only have 30 seconds to remember which location pad it is on and bring it back. If you make it back with the correct villain tile before time is up, you win the trick and all other players must remove their masks. If you don't make it back, you don't win any cards.
The game ends when the last cards are played from each player's deck. Players count the number of cards in their scoring piles, and the player with the most cards wins.
The game comes with four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Eye Mask Glasses, nine villain tiles, three location pads, 48 cards, a mutagen container 30-second sand timer, and game instructions. Calling All Turtles is for two to four players.
