EDITOR'S REVIEW

Overall Editor's Rating

What It Is

Turbo: Super Stunt Squad is the video game based on the DreamWorks movie, Turbo. It's a stunt course, racing game with the snails from the movie as racers.

Is It Fun?

The game isn't a typical movie-game, where you play through the movie's story. Instead, it's a racing game, with the snails from the movie as the playable characters. Kids can pick a character then jump into a race that will take them through some giant (to the snails) worlds. The snails can be customized and upgraded, which allows kids to trick out their snails before heading onto a course. The courses are laid out in human-scale environments so the snails are racing over everyday items like taco trays that appear huge to them.

Who It’s For

The game is rated E for Everyone and perfect for kids of any age who enjoyed the movie. This is also a fun game for parents to play with kids.

What To Be Aware Of

Turbo: Super Stunt Squad is available for the Nintendo 3DS, DS, Wii, Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Up to four people can compete against each other on Wii. Two players can complete in the Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

The graphics on the Wii edition are not very smooth and sometimes, appear flat and angular.
