What It Is
If the weather is bad and you can't ride your bike outside, you can still play with and learn about bikes with The Schwinn Biking Game. In this game, for two to eight players, the first player to get their Schwinn bike piece from start, all around the game board, and back to home wins. Each player chooses a Schwinn bike piece and the difficulty level at which they'd like to play. Level one is the easiest (and recommended for beginners) while level four is the most difficult.
Players then take turns rolling the die and moving their bikes the number of spaces on the die. If you land on a red trail circle, the die passes to the left, and the next player takes his or her turn. If you land on a yellow circle, take a Biking Game card and answer the question on the card that corresponds with your difficulty level. Use the secret decoder to find out if your answer is correct. If you get it right, roll again. If not, it's the next player's turn. If you land on a Go to Schwinn Bike Shop space, immediately go to the Schwinn Bike Shop on the board and read aloud a Fun Fact card. This completes your turn.
A picture of the Schwinn Off-Road Tires can be found on some of the Biking Game question cards. If you correctly answer one of these special questions, you get the Schwinn Off-Road Tires card. With this card, you can use the shortcut through the woods to get home, but only if you land on the Turn Here space when you have the card. At any time, another player could correctly answer a Schwinn Off-Road Tires question and steal the card from you.
In order to re-enter the home space at the end, you must roll the exact number of spaces needed to enter home.
This game comes with eight bike playing pieces, a die, 16 level cards, a Schwinn Off-Road Tires card, a game board, 199 game cards with 400 questions and 99 fun facts, and a decoder.
Is It Fun?
This is a fun, easy-to-learn game for kids and adults who like riding bikes. As you play, you learn information about the history of bikes, the parts of bikes, and more. We like that there are multiple question difficulty levels so that young kids can play alongside older kids and adults with an appropriate level of challenge for all.
