What It Is
Look Look is a fast-paced matching race game. To play, place the center tile in the center of the playing space. Place the eight game board frames in any order all around the center tile to form a 3 x 3 grid. Randomly place a game board tile inside each frame. Shuffle the cards and place the stack face-down on the center tile.
Turn over the top card on the deck. Everyone looks at the same time. If the card shows a creature, everyone must look for that exact creature on the game tiles.
If the card shows a symbol, look for that exact symbol.
A question mark inside two differently colored frames means you must look for the common creature inside those two frames.
A plus sign inside two differently colored frames means you must look for a number in the frames of those two colors, then add them up and yell out the sum.
A minus sign inside two differently colored frames means you look for a number in the frames of those two colors, subtract them, and shout out the difference.
And if a card shows a target, look for a target on the game tiles that matches the one on the card color for color.
The first player to find any of the above wins that card. There are letters on the back of each card. The first player to collect enough cards to spell "Look Look" wins.
Look Look comes with eight game board frames, eight game board tiles, a center tile, and 68 cards. It is for two to six players.
Is It Fun?
The six challenges in Look Look test kids' powers of perception. This is a unique matching game that requires a keen eye and a little bit of math. It can be a bit challenging to find the matches for the creatures because some of them look very similar. Also, the images and numbers on each game tile are different sizes, so some are easier to spot than others.
Who It’s For
Look Look is for ages 6 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
When playing with young children who are not as fast at adding and subtracting numbers, remove the plus and minus cards from the deck.
