Yesterday's Hero is part of Winning Moves Games' Pastime Puzzles line. The finished image is of children getting an autograph from a racecar driver. It was painted by artist Dave Barnhouse.
The jigsaw puzzle comes with 500 pieces, including 50 uniquely shaped pieces, called "whimsies", including an elephant, moon, lion, swan, and tree. Sorting through the traditional jigsaw puzzle pieces to find the "whimsies" becomes part of the fun. Additionally, no two pieces are the same, which adds a layer of complexity for puzzlers to solve.
The finished puzzle fits a standard 18-inch by 24-inch frame.
Yesterday's Hero is a classic jigsaw puzzle with a beautifully designed image that will appeal to racecar fans young and old. Kids will enjoy finding and identifying the special shaped pieces as they put this puzzle together.
Yesterday's Hero is for ages 8 and up.
This puzzle took us four hours and 30 minutes to complete. Remember that putting together the puzzle is part of the play.
