The Action Shot Camera lets kids take video with sound and photos as they ride their bikes, skateboards, snowboards, or any other action-packed activity. The camera comes with a mounting case, adhesive mount, helmet mounting strap, and USB connector.
Before you begin, you'll need to charge the camera by connecting it to a computer (Mac or PC) using the USB connector. It takes about two hours to fully charge the camera. A fully charged battery will function for two to four hours, depending on use. Turn on the camera and select whether you want to take video or photos. There are two video resolutions: VGA, which shoots 30 frames per second, and QVGA, which shoots 60 frames per second. The photo resolution is 640 x 380.
Insert the camera into the mounting case and either attach it to the helmet strap or use the adhesive mount to attach it to a skateboard. The helmet strap is adjustable so that it will tightly fit around your helmet. Then press the Rec/Stop button to start recording video or snap pictures as you ride. (You can choose to have the camera take one single photo or take a photo every two seconds.) To view your photos and video, connect the camera to your computer using the USB connector, and download the videos and images to your computer. Then go to ActionShotCamera.com for free editing software.
The Action Shot Camera has internal memory of 128 MB. It will store approximately 2.5 minutes of video or 1,500 still images. You can upgrade the memory with a Micro SD Memory Card, which is not included. The camera supports a memory card up to 32 GB.
The Action Shot Camera does not have a viewfinder. If you want to be able to see what you're recording and play back or delete videos and photos, you'll need the Action Shot Video Viewer Attachment, which is sold separately for about $29.99. The Action Shot Camera Deluxe Mounting Kit includes specific mounting accessories for bikes, motorcycles, skateboards, snowboards, and surfboards as well as an angle mount so you can adjust the angle of the camera. It is sold separately for about $24.99.
With this portable mini-camera, kids can record their action-packed stunts and athletic adventures and share them with friends. The mounting accessories included with the Action Shot Camera are easy to attach to a board or helmet, and the camera is also easy to use. Kids will like that they can edit and enhance their video and photos with the free editing software.
The Action Shot Camera is for ages 7 and up.
The Action Shot Camera has been optimized for outdoor and daylight use. For best results indoors, use in well lit areas.
The camera includes a permanently installed rechargeable LiPo battery.
