What It Is

UnHinged is a puzzle game that is made up of 10 hinged hexagons. To play, flip, fold, and twist this manipulative puzzle to match one of 40 puzzle challenges. There are four challenge levels—beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert—each with 10 puzzles. There are solutions in the back of the challenge book. Each hexagon is numbered, and the solutions tell you what numbers to move and in what order. UnHinged is for one player.

Is It Fun?

The tactile appeal of flipping and folding makes UnHinged easy to pick up, and its engaging puzzle gameplay makes it hard to put down. There is a learning curve to this game, and it may take you several tries to fold and flip the hexagons to match the challenge puzzle. Be patient. It helps if you start out with all 10 hexagons flat with either the blue side showing or the white side.

Who It’s For

UnHinged is for ages 8 and up. It will definitely appeal to those who like solving these types of puzzles.

What To Be Aware Of

The challenge book only gives one solution sequence, but you might be able to find others. Each player will hold and fold UnHinged differently. If you fold the hinge sequence and don't see the correct pattern, flip it over to check the other side.
