What It Is

O.O.T.W. stands for Out of This World, a new line of four-inch vinyl dolls. There are five characters: Astra, Flix, Vizi, Gigi, and Techno. The characters live in the "Girlaxy" and have a passion for interstellar adventure.

Each character has a different personality that comes alive via the electronic features on each doll. Pressing each doll's stomach button activates these features. Gigi, the jokester, giggles and shakes. Press down on Techno's button to watch lights spin through this DJ's headphones. Astra likes to be in the spotlight, and you can't miss her with light-up hair and cosmic sound effects. Vizi can see the future, so ask her a question, then press her button to find the answer illuminated in a bubble over her head. Flix, who likes to make movies, projects images from her hair onto a smooth surface (wall, ceiling) while playing a movie projector sound effect.

There are also two O.O.T.W. pets, Loco and Ditto, as well as O.O.T.W. playsets, which are sold separately. Kids can visit OOTWGirls.com to read more about the characters, play games, download free ringtones and wallpapers, and more.

Is It Fun?

The look of the O.O.T.W. dolls, which interprets collectible vinyl figures for younger kids, makes O.O.T.W. a unique entry in the doll aisle. The electronic features help bring each character to life, and kids will like watching the dolls move, make noise, and light up. Kids can choose the doll that most fits their personality or collect all the characters. There are good opportunities for both imaginative and social play.

O.O.T.W. is for ages 4 and up. While the O.O.T.W. website is COPPA compliant, it is recommended that adults monitor their children's online activities.
